Description

The need for plaster or investment control in the practice and laboratory arises from the manufacturers' changing batches, the local water quality and the individual dosing and processing methods. The SAM expansion measuring instrument EMI was specially developed to examine the expansion of plaster. The measuring accuracy of the digital Dial Gauge is 0.01 mm. The expansion is therefore easy to convert into a percentage, as the measuring cup has a length of 100 mm (0.01 mm ≙ 0.1 %). To prevent the test materials from sticking to the measuring tray, the tray should be lined with a rubber dam (0.1 - 0.2 mm) and talcum powder.
